Advocates Call California’s Budget A ‘Big Win’ For Early Childhood Education
Early Edge CA Executive Director, Patricia Lozano, was quoted on Capital Pubic Radio regarding the importance of funding Early Learning in Governor Newsom’s first budget.
The new budget would set $195 million to improve the quality of Early Learning programs, primarily through workforce professional development and education. Assemblyman Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento), said the spending plan includes nearly $1 billion in new money for early education programs. He called it a “big win” for the state’s youngest learners.
