Our Executive Director Patricia Lozano spoke with reporter Emma Gallegos at The Bakersfield Californian earlier about the expansion of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to all 4-year-olds in the state by the 2025-26 school year, which was recently signed by Governor Newsom into his 2021-22 state budget.
“For many students, transitional kindergarten is an important opportunity they have to get high-quality education in their neighborhood, Lozano said. Expanding early education will help reduce the achievement gap.”
