Celebrating American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month
Resources for Early Learning Teachers and Families
November is American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month—a time to learn about the history and honor the Native and Indigenous people in North America. In celebration, Early Edge California has put together a list of various resources to introduce your family and/or the children in your care to the rich culture and traditions of Native American and Alaska Native people.
We’d first like to honor the native lands that the Early Edge California office in Los Angeles, CA is located on in the territories of the Chumash, Tongva (Gabrieleno), and Fernandeño Tataviam tribes. You can use Native Land Digital to learn more about the native land you are on.
