New America Brief: A New Look at Dual Language Learner Data Gaps

New America has published a brief titled, A New Look at Dual Language Learner Data Gaps, which reflects on progress made across the U.S. in addressing the needs of Dual Language Learners (DLLs) and calls for renewed attention to improve data practices within Early Education systems, like tracking DLL enrollment and evaluating Early Care and Education (ECE) program quality. The brief highlights steps that California has taken to support DLLs through identification and uplifts our sponsored bills AB 1363 (Rivas) and AB 393 (Rivas). Our Director of DLL programs, Carolyne Crolotte, was also featured sharing her expertise on DLLs.
