Voices From The Field: Perspectives of Early Care and Education Professionals in Los Angeles County presents the perspectives of nearly 200 Early Learning providers and lead teachers who were surveyed in fall 2019 about their workforce needs and challenges. The brief highlights the need for training on supporting Dual Language Learners and their families, and on working with children with challenging behaviors. It also highlights the negative impact that low compensation in the Early Learning field can have on teacher recruitment and retention.
