Standing with the AAPI Community

A Message from Our Executive Director Patricia Lozano

Early Edge California condemns the recent wave of hate and violence against our fellow community members. The horrific actions, fueled by racism, against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are extremely disturbing. They cannot be tolerated in silence and they cannot continue to occur. Early Edge California stands with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community during these challenging times that are causing pain and suffering to so many. We know that the racism and hate felt by this community is not new, and we support their continued fight for justice and racial equality.

We will continue our work to promote high-quality Early Learning experiences for all children guided by values of equality and inclusion. We encourage you to learn more about how you can support the AAPI community against acts of hate and violence. And we must not forget the youngest members of our Early Learning community who need support — please talk with the children in your life to engage them in critical conversations about racism, justice, and equality.

With love and support,

Patricia Lozano and the Early Edge California team
