Is 4 too young to start school? California says no with ‘t-K’ program

Our Executive Director Patricia Lozano spoke with Lauren Gilger from Phoenix’s NPR member station KJZZ about the history and current expansion of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in California.

“It began in 2010 when we noticed that kids got to kindergarten and they were not ready. So, California began to think about how we can give them the opportunity to start early.”
