In this news segment with Fox40 News, our Executive Director Patricia Lozano encourages parents to enroll their children in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and shares more about the TK resources parents can find on the newly updated TKCalifornia website.
With California’s historic expansion of TK to all 4-year-olds in the state taking effect this 2022-23 school year, many parents and early learners will be entering through the schoolroom doors for the very first time in their lives. TK is one of the first steps California’s youngest learners take in their academic careers.
“It’s [TK] so important because you want to give them the best start possible…We want all kids to be ready at the same level, get the structures they need to learn how to read, to do math, to make friends, to be successful. We want to give this opportunity to all.”
