CalMatters.org K-12 education reporter Carolyn Jones interviews Early Edge California’s Director of Policy, Carolyne Crolotte, as part of a new story on the expansion of Transitional Kindergarten and it reaching completion in the 2025-26 school year, giving all 4-year-olds in the state access to this free, high-quality preschool option.
“This really is something to celebrate,” said Carolyne Crolotte, policy director for Early Edge California, an advocacy group. “Now, there’s no question about who’s eligible and who isn’t. Everyone is eligible.”
