Assembly Bill (AB) 753 by Assemblymember Robert Garcia is now in effect! Assistant Teachers can now apply for an Assistant Teacher Permit with an Independent Care Emphasis from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). This permit allows qualified Assistant Teachers to assist with the independent supervision of children, helping programs address staffing needs while creating new opportunities for professional growth.
