Our Executive Director Patricia Lozano spoke with Yarel Ramos from Univision 34 Los Angeles about Governor Gavin Newsom’s commitment to providing free, high-quality pre-kindergarten for all four-year-olds in California. Patricia explains that the plan goes into effect in 2022 with full implementation happening in 2026.
“We need our families to enroll because we know that if children have these opportunities to go to these high quality programs they will learn and will be ready for kindergarten. When this does not happen there may be a delay and we do not want that to happen. We want Latino children to have the same opportunities as other children and to be at the same level.”
