Enabling Smart Early Childhood Technology in Public Systems: Where We Are and What Comes Next

A new report from The Early Learning Lab in collaboration with Early Edge California

We are excited to share a new interactive report Enabling Smart Early Childhood Technology in Public Systems: Where We Are and What Comes Next.

With support from the Omidyar Network, the Early Learning Lab partnered with Early Edge California, the Ounce of Prevention Fund, and Texans Care for Children to examine current tech use and public funding in our home states: California, Illinois, and Texas.

To see how funding works in California, check out the budget profile and interactive funding map here.

The report explores the how technology can and should be used across early childhood settings and includes recommendations for what tech entrepreneurs, program implementers, government and systems leaders, and funders can do to ensure technology advances how we support young children and their families.

In 2020, we will be participating in conversations about our research, the insights in the report, and where we go from here. Register for our upcoming webinar with Early Learning Lab to discuss our joint report on enabling smart early childhood technology in public programs and services.
