California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Program Guidelines, Second Edition
The California Department of Education (CDE) released the second edition of the California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Program Guidelines, an important publication that provides program administrators, teachers, and college instructors with guidance on the essential elements of high-quality infant/toddler care programs. It complements and builds upon policies adopted by the State Board of Education and recent publications by the California Department of Education’s Early Learning and Care Division. It presents a broad picture of high-quality infant/toddler care, based on the most recent research available, and will strengthen our ability to meet the needs of children and families in California’s diverse infant/toddler settings and communities.
